Honestly, I am becoming a serial Models Own hoarder. When a new collection is launched, I just can't seem to help myself; those bottles of prettiness just call my name (and my bank card!)
I received an e mail from Models Own today, and the details also went up on their Facebook page of their new collection: VELVET GOTH. Yep.
My first thought was 'how can a polish dry down to a velvet finish on its own?' On closer inspection, these aren't actually a velvet finish product, but matte glitters. Here's what Models Own have to say about their new collection:
'Five intensely inky pigmented colours each with an extraordinary 2D finish. Matte yet sparkly at the same time, each shade applies glossy and dries down giving a multi-faceted effect that can be seen but not felt. Quick-drying, and formulated with the finest glitter shapes and sizes, to achieve the ultra smooth sprinkling of sparkle and velvety finish. Topped off with funky limited edition, colour-matched fuzzy velvet caps!'
So the only velvet here is the bottle cap! Personally, I'm quite pleased about that. I love me a good glitter, and these polishes not only look super pretty in the pic above, but the jewel colours make them perfect for Autumn.
The five polishes in the collection are (L-R):-
Valerian – A rich bottle blue
Amethyst – A royal purple
Obsidian – A deep charcoal grey
Sardonyx – A blood scarlet red
Absinthe – A burst of deep emerald green
The Velvet Goth collection will be released in the Models Own Bottleshops exclusively on August 24th, online on the Models Own website on September 2nd, then in Boots from September 4th.
